Safe and Reliable Surrogacy
Fertility Choices first began offering surrogacy in December 2007 and has assisted many couples and singles achieve their dream of having a family of their own.
However, with the arrival of Covid and international travel restrictions we were forced to cease our international programs. Now the world is returning to normal and our surrogacy options have opened again.
We offer two options:
- Surrogacy for couples using their own eggs
- Surrogacy using donor eggs
Both can be combined with Gender Choice.
How surrogacy works:
Once you have chosen which option applies to you. You then decide on the country that is most convenient for you and fits with your needs. For most people the destination is determined by affordability.
Option 1: using your own eggs
Please note that some countries, such as Australia and Singapore make it difficult for Parents to ship their embryos overseas so a Penang cycle is the closest and best option. However, it does require you to spend some time in Penang, depending on how much of your preparation was completed in your home country. Once your embryos have been developed the process is identical to a donor egg cycle. The embryos are frozen and then transferred to the Birth Mother. (The embryos must be frozen to allow for period alignment with the Birth Mother.)You will also need to start the process with your local doctor. We can liaise with your doctor and provide him/her with full details of the medical timeline for surrogacy, medication required etc.
You can, of course, also come to Penang for your complete IVF cycle.
Option 2: using donor eggs
Using donor eggs is simpler for the parents as only the male partner needs to come to Penang for sperm collection. He can then return home after 24 hours depending on the quantity and quality of his sperm. The donor eggs will be fertilised using ICSI and embryos created. The embryos are then frozen waiting for transfer to the Birth Mother.
As with Option 1, embryos are frozen to allow for alignment with the Birth Mother’s cycle.

Surrogacy destinations
Depending on your location we can introduce you to a surrogacy clinic nearest to you. Please note that surrogacy is far more expensive in other countries than it is in Asia so expect to pay more.
For example, the average cost for surrogacy in seAsia is US$34,000. (This is plus our fee and medical costs for egg donation etc.)
Colombia offers an excellent service but the costs are much higher, expect to pay US$60,000 plus other fees. Please be aware that is almost impossible to find Asian egg donors in South America and Shipping eggs or embryos there is not viable.
Fees in the US commence at around US$130,000 for a surrogacy package but legal fees tend to be very expensive.
